The Key to Success
The key to a successful flooring installation starts with a proper evaluation of the existing floor. There are many surface conditions to consider.
First, is there an existing surface to be removed? If so, (in accordance with environmental regulations) by law the existing surface/ flooring system needs to be tested prior to removal. Some floor systems may contain hazardous materials that require special steps to be taken to remove them properly and legally. Testing is relatively inexpensive and can often be done with lab results within a 72 hour period. Then a proper demolition or removal plan can be made.
Second is surface profile. Various floor systems require a specific substrate “roughness” to assure a proper bond to the concrete. Some systems are highly absorptive and require minimal profiling while others require the concrete to be fractured for the system to adhere properly. The variety of prep finishes require various machines to assure the specific profile is achieved each time. Whether it’s shot blasting, diamond grinding or scarifying, Pro Surfacing has the right equipment for the job. Our floor tools are also fitted with hepa filtered dust collection systems
